How it works
An electromagnet in the base holds the bulb in a stable magnetic field while an induction coil sends power across the gap, the same principle behind wireless phone chargers. The result looks like a magic trick, and it never stops being fun to watch.
Place the bulb in the field, let go and it settles into its float. Tap the base to switch it on and off.
